Looks like we've got a new dog in the house....

Slide Away...

There's a kiddy play area near us - we've visited it regularly as the boys have grown.

Up until recently, the slide there has been far too big for them - but now, Theo especially, is able to climb all the way to the top with confidence. Charlie is slightly more cautious but eventually gets there - usually after Theo has been round a couple of times barging past him on the way!

Bake a Cake!

We love having the boys help us out in the kitchen, but you should have seen the mess that we got into the other day when we were making some cupcakes!

Brighton

What better place to go on a cold Sunday in February? Why, Brighton of course!

The sun was slightly lacking but that didn't stop us wrapping up warm and heading for the beach to partake in some of the traditional kiddie activities such as throwing pebbles into the water, running away from the advancing waves and erm, falling over as you climb down the bank...

Sometimes, you've just got to let them get on with it. Let's just say their little Kickers spent the whole of the next day on the radiator....

Calm Down Theo!

Theo loves a good scream. Charlie obviously less so - as you can see in this video below..

By the way, do you like our grass table cover? Great at preventing the yoghurt that they inevitably spill all over the table turning into cheese in the grooves of the table.

The Potty Dalek

Exterminate, Exterminate!

FYI, Potty training hasn't officially started at Team Burchell yet. Let's call it potty familiarisation. Also, look out for the bit of toilet roll stuck to Theo's foot...

Memo, Buzz and now Munsssersinc...

The boys Disney portfolio is increasing. Monsters Inc (or as Charlie prefers to call it, Munsssersinc) is now right up there with Memo (Finding Nemo) and Buzz (erm, Toy Story).

We've tried them with the classics - Snow White etc, but those hand-drawn, non-computer rendered images just ain't cutting the mustard

By the way, it's incredible how basic and dated Toy Story looks compared to some of the more recent Pixar films!

Rugby Tots

First there was Aqua Tots, now there's RUGBY TOTS!

Yes, this Saturday sees the boys first foray into the world of Rugby. It may be a while before we can get them to keep still long enough to form a scrum but we'll give it a go!

Anyway, here's some pictures of the boys in their kit with their (foam) rugby balls....

Pinch Punch, NOT first of the month....

Adding another form of attack to his arsenal, Theo has now decided that in addition to biting, pinching is now acceptable behaviour.

A stream of trips to the naughty corner doesn't seem to be reducing the pinching epidemic and we're at a loss as to what to do next. Also, no one is immune to it although the more familiar he is with the person, the more likely they are to get a passing pinch! Obviously this means that Charlie is number one on the list...

Will he grow out of it? Biting is still an issue and he hasn't grown out of that yet!
